Targa NZ — Terms & Conditions

Targa New Zealand operates several event formats. Each format has its own official Terms & Conditions document. Before entering, please read the document for the event you’re participating in and make sure you and your vehicle meet all requirements.

Which document do I need?

  • Targa Competition: Closed-road special stages with full competition regulations, licensing, timing, penalties, safety and service crew rules.
  • Retro Targa: Minimum stage-time format with a points allocation system, designed to encourage classic and older vehicles with lower competitive risk.
  • Targa Tour: Non-competition paced touring over the same roads, suitable for road-registered vehicles under instructor guidance.
  • Targa Time Trial: Average-speed precision driving and time-keeping on closed-road stages in road-registered vehicles.

What you are agreeing to

  • You have read the applicable Terms & Conditions for your chosen event and agree to comply with them.

  • You understand the risks involved in closed-road motorsport activities and accept the acknowledgements, indemnities and insurance conditions set out in the document.
  • You accept that event officials may apply penalties, exclude entries, or decline participation where requirements are not met.
